Electronic Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale
The eC-SSRS is the electronic version of the C-SSRS (also known as the “Columbia Protocol”. The eC-SSRS is an electronic interview tool used to quantify suicidal ideation and suicidal behavior.
Overview of taking the eC-SSRS
The eC-SSRS contains a series of questions divided into four subscales assessing severity, intensity, behavior, and lethality. The eC-SSRS uses different assessment periods (lifetime, recent, since last contact) depending on clinical need.
The eC-SSRS is taken on a digital device and is patient reported.
The C-SSRS can be administer in a clinical interview if needed.
The eC-SSRS takes 5-10 minutes to complete.
The eC-SSRS can be taken digitally before, during, or at the close of an appointment.
